pampers are good - they dont leak and can hold more.
but just recently i tried little tykes and they are really good too. Little Tykes are curved at the legs to fit nicely, the tabs are soft and don't scratch, they are pretty (little stars), they hold a lot of poop and pee if need be and they don't come apart or get damaged easily (as pampers and huggies do!)

I tried all three major brands with my first child. I wasn't keen on Huggies or Luvs. I also tried the military's off-brand. I really didn't like that. I've been most happy with Pampers. Now with Pampers there are two major lines. Baby Dry does nothing for me, as it would always leak. I went with the Swaddlers, that eventually became Cruisers in the larger sizes. These are more absorbant and fabric or cotton like.
These work for me, but not for others. I know people that swear by Baby Dry Pampers. It's okay to try each brand. You can usually go to the major brands' webpages to request a trial diaper, so it's no cost to try. For other brands, check for a small pack if available. Or find a few other parents at a local playgroup and each buy a brand so you can all try different diapers.

My second daughter is 4 months and I use Pampers on her. I tried Huggies, Pampers, and Luvs with my older daughter. I liked Luvs the best until they changed them. After that, I used Pampers. I don't like Huggies because they are so thin and I found that they tend to leak. I also don't like Huggies because the tabs aren't stretchy like Pampers are. I babysat a baby that wore Huggies, and I don't know how many of those stupid tabs I accidental pulled off when trying to change her diaper. If you do use Pampers though, I would use the Swadlers and then the Cruisers. I would not use the Baby Dry. I got those before by accident and I didn't like them. They weren't stretchy like the others. You can go online to Pampers or Huggies websites and sign up. They will send you free samples and some coupons. Then, you could try them out to see which you like.

Totally trial and error - Huggies worked best on my son, but my neighbour had better luck with Pampers on her son. I think it's all how the baby is shaped. One interesting thing - at least in Canada - Wal Mart's brand is actually made by Huggies, so you save a huge amount and are getting the same diapers. Another tip - I always found when my son was growing, if he'd start to leak a lot, I'd move him to the next size diaper up, that seemed to really help.

Hi I think that Huggies is the best quality and the texture is really good, I used them with my older son that is 10 1/2 and with my 2 year old son now, Pampers I have tryed but those are the ones that get all bulky and dont' really absorb much,,
I say huggies,
Good Luck

For newborns... pampers swaddlers. They are not bulky and do the job. When the baby gets a bit bigger... I would use pampers baby dry by day... and huggies at night (they seem to fit more snug and high on the waist).
When the baby gets to using stage 3 diapers, pampers cruisers by day, huggies by night.
I tried every diaper under the sun... and found these 2 brands to be the best. I'm on my second child who is just 3 weeks old and will do the same with her. Of course stock up on them when they're on sale. It does get costly.

I started out with Huggies Supreme till my daughter was 4 and half months old and she kept pooping out the sides if them so I decided to try Pampers Baby Dry with Catepellar Flex and I LOVE them!!!!They have amazing stretchy side tabs and are not bulky at all!!I wish I had switched sooner!!!! Pampers are way more absorbent and no matter how big a poo she has it NEVER comes out the sides or back anymore!!!If you get them from Walmart and you try a few and do not like them they will take them back!!Go try them, you will love them!!My daughter is now 9 months and still in a size 3.She went into 3s at about 4 months even though she was only 13 pounds but they fit her long lean body great!!Good luck!

I absolutely love the Pamper's Swaddlers, they're by far the very best out there. Unfortunately they only go to size 2 and I don't like the cruisers as much (even though they're supposed to be pretty much the same, but they're not soft like the swaddlers). My son's about to grow out of size 2, so we're switching over to the huggies baby shaped fit. they're alot less bulky and they work really well. If you have a boy, I think huggies are the best, they stop leaks in the front really well.

I used to swear by pampers... but then they changed some of the things about them.. that dry weave? SUCKS! leaves some weird residue behind...and baby's bottom gets and stays wet... the other pampers are "ok" (swaddlers? cruisers?? not sure the two types of pampers) the past year to two I lean toward huggies... fit is better, leakage is nil... no lines... texture is nicer.... no residue! thinner but very absorbent
neither get bulky really? unless baby is in it for too long.... pampers does tend to sag faster though now that I think on it..
luvs I have never cared for.... store brands might be cheaper but you go thru more....
diapering experience? since I was seven... mom used cloth, I helped.... lol that is thirty years and still changing diapers... sigh...lol...
really though? I have friends who feel the exact opposite... it is as different as each baby so you might want to get one of each... experience also says? they outgrow newborn size in one and a half to two bags (and the hospital always sends one home with you) so you might want to experiment with size one?
hope it helps
good luck
god bless!
oh forgot huggies baby fit not supreme... those are a bit bulky... and if pampers? whichever says "new, dry weave" that is the one that is not so good... the other is again "ok"

If I had to choose between the two, I would go with Huggies. The Pampers just didn't fit my girls' shape. They left gaps that would leak. I actually use White Cloud. They work just as well as the Huggies at 1/2 the cost. I suggest you try several different types to see what works best for you.

I have two kids, 4 and 2, boy and a girl. We have gone through so many diapers and so much money buying them. I have had leak problems and issues with the adhesives not sticking on both pampers and huggies. The only diapers that I have had absolute success with are the Target Brand diapers. Not only have I had no leak or adhesive issues but they cost almost half the price of pampers and huggies. Luvs and the Wal Mart Brand have to be the absolute worst diapers by the way.
