was it a good experience? I can't decide it I want to go to one for my anniversary or not. I hear they are romantic. Is this true. Thanks!

You really have to keep in mind that you are in somebody's home. If you value your privacy, this may be a little too "comfortable" for you. The quality is greatly varied. I personally would not book anything unless I saw photos on the internet. Also, you should be sure to find out if they allow smoking. I had a terrible stay at a B&B run by a chain smoker.

The upside is that it can be a very personal experience. Usually the host will be more than happy to chat with you, and will give you some excellent advice on the local area. This is something you won't encounter staying at a chain motel.

Often, the houses are beautiful and they're located in quaint little towns for a bit of sightseeing or relaxing. However, it depends on your comfort level and personality. I had a hard time getting intimate with my husband when there was an occasional creak in the hallway or I could hear people talking in the room next to ours.

However, the rest of our stay was quite romantic and we had great food and a wonderful time. I just felt a little self-conscious. :)

I have stayed at B & B and yes it was a good experence. Remember you will be a guest in someone's home. I' d do plenty of research before you book. They can be very romantic. They can be much more expensive than a hotel. Each one is unique.
