If I am asking because same has been discussed with my doctor - so please save any comments regarding same - therefore, has anyone had any positive and/or negative experience when taking castor oil - I am already the 40 weeks I am scheduled for a c-section tomorrow - so there is nothing wrong with the time - I am more concern in trying to find out the amount and how often., some people say they took 2oz of the oil with 2 oz of juice others say 2teaspoon of the oil and 2 teaspoon of juice but neither state how often as they claim they went into labor about three hours later.

A questions is meant to get an "ANSWER" - not a COMMENT !! - Some idiot just wrote why ask a question, because one is looking for answers not your own personal thoughts and/or expressions or believes - LOOKING FOR REAL FACTS!

Recipe 3.
3oz of orange juice, add 3oz of castor oil, blend, drink, and chase w/a reese's peanut butter cup.

I dont' personally reccomend this induction method at all, it's dangerous and doesn't always work, but when you're already overdue and you're faced with a medical induction... i donno the debate is which is MORE dangerous???

Best of luck... let us know how it turns out.

I did it previously I grew to change into an RN, and now i could not in any respect propose it. i did not bring about my exertions - in spite of the undeniable fact that it made me sicker than a canine. do not drink it, it is going to positioned more effective stress on the toddler and exertions will be more durable if it DOES bring about you, which this isn't any longer a assure. allow it artwork on this is own time.... you do not pick to bring about exertions previously your toddler's waiting.... And he/she will come even as it really is time....

I have actually heard that it is really bad for the baby to take Castor oil. If you are having a C-Section tomorrow, you should not take any at all. You aren't really going to even be in labor. If it was something discussed with your doctor, then your doctor should have given you an amount, although I would be leery of any doctor that would have you take Castor oil to induce labor.

Why would you use castor oil if you have a c section scheduled??? Maybe I am the only one but that sounds confusing.....

I don;t know any doctor that would recommend castor oil because it causes major cramps and dehydration to mother and fetus when expelling

I tried that when I was pregnant and I advise you don't! My son had a bowel movement while in utero .. (meconium) because of all the Castor oil I drank trying to induce him and he inhaled it. He was born with a severe case of pneumonia and I blame it on myself! I still cry when I think of what I put him through. I did not go into labor. I drank Castor oil for about 3 weeks trying... The only thing it did do was put my son in the NICU at birth. I tried everything out there.. black and blue cohost... I cant remember everything I tried.. Please don't do Castor oil. .It can put your baby in danger!!!

NONE!! All you are gonna get is diarrhea!!! The only thing that can stimulate labor is Pitocin. Cator Oil is an old wives tale. Just like bumpy roads csn put you into labor. Yeah right. Ive tried!!!

I personally would not reccommend castor oil. It can clean out your inards-and that's about it. And, it tastes super yucky! Hope you have a happy, healthy baby! Take care.

I guess it just depends on the person. I've only heard of it causing diahrea. It's really bad on your stomach so your body tries to get rid of it. I think it's just trial and error.

*edit*
As a response tor your comment about only giving answers, people are giving you answers. Most people are telling you why it didnt work and they are concerned for you and your baby. If you are wanting answers from people there is no need to be rude by calling people and "idiot". You asked for possitive and negative experiance as well.
