Yes, I can. Girne (Kyrenia) is a nice seaside town with good facilities. You can hire a car there (they drive on the left!) and from there you can explore. Climate is good. See here: http://www.apple-tour.com/ENG/cyprus.htm

Go to Bellapais - there's a fantastic restaurant amidst the ruins of the abbey. Lots of castles (mediaeval), and beaches - visit Salamis at all costs.

I've been to both north and south Cyprus and prefer the north - it's less spoilt/developed.

Have a great holiday!

I actually have a trip abode in Northern Cyprus and can assure you not one of the resorts are noisy !!. there are a number of excellent resorts , precise set , Pia bella , deliver hotel all good resorts , in case you want a quiet nation-state hotel the Hideaway in EDREMIT is right ,the perspectives from all resorts are superb , mountains to the rear and sea viiews on the front . Northern Cyprus isn't very commercialised so do no longer concern approximately yobos and drunks !! have an excellent trip next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days .

I've never been there but I suppose that it is as beautiful as the rest of the island.

But I wouldn't go there because it is a territory occupied by turkish troops, not recognised by UN nor any other country (just Turkey), and that may be a problem.

But why you ask that in "Greece"? As I told you Turkey has invaded in there since 1974, and the rest island is not neither a greek territory nor occupied by Greece. It's a totally indepented country called Cyprus.

Northern Cyprus is an occupied territory, and not a recognised state. Greeks don't go there, because it is like accepting this status. So don't expect anyone to recommend something here. Go to the Turkey section if you insist.

Yes it is a beautiful place BUT it is the first time I hear someone to prefer the jail instead of the freedom of the rest of Cyprus!

Unless you're planning to travel to Greece later.
