Trail Blazer, at least in our experience. We have had both, and we still have the Trail Blazer, and the Subaru has since been traded in, to go towards a Yukon. There was something hinky with the Subaru's suspension, and at the time they said it was a common problem for them, we had it fixed, but the repair was not inexpensive. This has been a couple of years ago, though, and I am sure they have fixed those problems (one would think/hope).
The Trail Blazer has proven to be a reliable and sturdy vehicle, because of it's age, it has been retired to our "hunting vehicle", replacing an older model.
Either way, I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you are happy with what you get!

Between the two, the Subaru Forester is the better choice. They are more dependable, and the engine/drivetrain will last far longer than the Trail Blazer. The downside is that the Subaru will be more expensive to work on if something does go wrong.

With not a hesitation the Chevrolet Trailblazer rides like a car and has a full rugged frame and a much better dealer repair service record. Check on the trade in value over the years to get a handle on depreciation. The Chevy will get better fuel economy an has more power on hand comparing motors of the same displacement.

not really similar - Forester is a car pretending to be a truck - Trail Blazer is a truck pretending to be a car
Subaru is a more reliable vehicle than anything GM ever made ( that would mean Forester is best )

You should probably go with the Subaru. They are good cars. Personally, I would go with the new Trailblazer SS. 400 ponies and a stout rearend. This Little truck will do 0-60mph in 4.9 sec. It comes in 2wd or awd. Awesome and good looking too.

Forester. Subaru's are one of the longest lasting cars ever. Chevy is not a good brand (I wouldn't buy anything American if you want it to last).
