Just go to yahoo.com and click web/domain name on the right menu.. they will teach you how to make simple website

not as simple as 'guiding' you. but you start by finding out how you want your website to look like. look on www.templatemonster.com and look at some cool designs. You can use Dreamweaver to create your page structure and check out www.adobe.com for Dreamweaver tips and tools. also any tutorial sites such as www.kirupa.com, www.entheosweb.com are good too. As a novice you won't be able to create all the flashy and fancy stuff which uses Flash and Photoshop but if you check out those sites you'll be sure to be on your way!!

Its not hard to learn, lots of classes around, many books, online info, etc.
