I think the think to do is contact either the LA Times Food Editor with a call or letter
OR
Melinda Lee may have the recipe- and if she does'nt, she sure will find it for you. find her at:
www.melindalee.com
If you are not familiar with her- she has a great food program on weekend radio in L.A.. Her website also has an abundance of outstanding recipes and links.

Good Luck! ... and happy eating.
PS I now have gone to the Melinda Lee website and beleive you can find it hear (if not already there) as they have places for questions and answers. You can also find phone # there and call her as one of the first callers on the radio program and someone in Los Angeles is bound to call back in with the exact recipe. Just do it. I think she is on AM 1070 but not certain. She changed radio stations and I have not heard her since doing this.
She will come thru for you.

I sure hope someone knows (I do not) because that's the best damn chicken salad I've ever had in my life. My heart was broken when Dalt's closed. What's it been, 2 years now?
