I assume you haven't read a lot of books, so I won't suggest a really long one. Try Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson. This is a great book, and it's kind of short and easy to read.

Without knowing your age or what kind of books you've already read and enjoyed, I'd say that question is just impossible to answer. However, the most recent book I've enjoyed and feel happy to recommend to almost anyone is "Justin Thyme".
