Yes. The only person who cannot be arrested or prosecuted is the sovereign, the Queen.

In plain English, yes. If the police have sufficient evidence to charge Tony Blair with a crime, then he can and will be arrested. Nobody is above the law, not even the prime minister.

So far the Metropolitan Police have interviewed Tony Blair. He has, as far as I know, not been cautioned or charged, not has he been arrested. Pity.

you know how hard it is nowadays to get Joe Bloggs down road arrested!!? Arresting Tony Blair would be easier but not necessarily best.

Yes but the liklihood is doubfull, he is after all second only to God and George Bush (at least in his own eyes).

You overlook the New Labour rules on corruption & sleaze, under the Tories you were caught and went to jail, under NL you get caught twice and get to represent the country in Europe " Go PM-Go PM"

But just in case the worst happens, the jails have been filled and the courts told not to jail non violent offenders.

Yes, but Inspector Yates of the Yard will have to get up very early in the morning to catch the slippery Blair and his slithering cohorts!

Yes, he can be prosecuted. But the jails are full, so the end result is that he will be freed even if he is found to be guilty.

Yes, if he pulls down his kacks and does a 'pooh' in the middle of the Marlyebone Road, he can! But if you are talking about the serious issue of corruption, then. I think it is very, very unlikely. The last thing those in power want, or those about to be in power, is the possibility that their actions may lead to criminal accountability.

Do you see our own leaders get arrested and prosecuted? Once in while they'll throw us a sacrificial lamb.
