Tell him the Zoloft isnt helping with the anxiety attacks. If he doesnt prescribe an anti-anxiety medication (such as xanax) find another doctor. I had panic attacks in my early twenties and there is no need for you to suffer with them when there is medication out there to help. If you are getting your Zoloft from a general family physician just quit bothering with him and ask for a referral to a psychiatrist. This is what I had to do when I was having the attacks. Good luck.

You cannot self prescribe meds. If you want something to helpo with anxiety just go in to the doc and tell him about your anxiety problems and ask he will prescribe something. You give me the impression that you think Xanax is for sure the right med for you and that is the WRONG attitude to go in the docs office with. You need to go in with an open mind and let the doc decide what he thinks might work best for you after he evaluates your symptoms.

Well, it is Xanex for a start. And seeing your doctor is the first step. He/she will ask you questions regarding your anxiety and determine if you need medication. They also may refer you to a counseller and make counselling a requirement as part of the treatment.
There are other --many other-- medications for anxiety and your doctor may wish to have you try them instead of Xanex which is highly addictive and frequently abused.

I'd like to help but in here we don't offer prescriptions. This is alternative medicine. We offer help with regaining balance in the mind-body-spirit connection. Go back to Health.

I guess you have to talk about this to your doctor, as he is the only one who can prescribe them to you legally.
