I'm not really scared about dying, per se, but I think what can be scary about someone dying is the knowledge that you will never talk to them again for as long as you're alive.

Sleeping in peace until the appointed resurrection of the dead in a new beautiful earth seems to be great. But like any other new experience. Like sex (for a guy at least) you know it's going to feel good but the first time was real scary.

Well except the pain of death the hope of resurrection makes it not as scary.

The fact that my ex would end up with full custody of our 11 year old son. My ex is irresponsible and barely functions on his own. How is he going to be able to take care of an 11 year old?

Knowing that it could all be over, and the feeling of hopelessness as my body shuts itself down. In the end, everyone dies alone...no one can help you or do it for you.
