I am a social work student doing a research project on assertiveness. Does anyone know about a free assertiveness inventory that I can use. I am having a hard time getting permission from some authors. For those of you in the mental health profession, I am in desperate need of any advice on finding an assertiveness inventory.

The yearbook of mental measures is often a good place to start. You might also look at Bloom, Fisher and Orms Evaluating Social Work text as they have some useful tools. The link below might also be a workable option.

I had to do the same thing. I don't think I saved any of the information, but I just kept doing searches for assertiveness, training, skills, inventory, activities, etc. Try this:

Good luck!

When you speak with the authors, you need to be more assertive!! Demand they grant you permission!
This is a test--- how assertive are you?

good luck!
