Borax is safe for all carpet fibers, will not bleach out the color and is cheap and easy to use. Blot up the wine by hopping on a clean terry towel or rag. Make a paste of water and Borax, agitate it into the fibers. If it is red wine, it will start to turn blue before it disappears. Let it dry and vacuum it up. Unlike many commercial carpet spotting solutions, Borax will not leave a residue in the carpet to attract dust and dirt creating a mystery stain later.

If the stain is still wet, go get your box of table salt and pour it right onto the wine. Now watch it, if red appears, pour more on it. Be generous, salt is cheap and your carpet is not. Let it dry and vacuum up the salt. The salt lifts it right up out of the carpet. Works also on table clothes and fuzzy sofas. :) Good Luck! Happy Ground Hog's Day!

Pour some soda water ovet hte spot but make sure its not too much so that it doesnt spread. Then take damp cloth and blot. DO NOT RUB!! If you still see a faint spot the store carries a miracle spot remover called "Spot Shot". I LOVE this stuff. Good luck!

with a white towell, dab it with peroxide.. may take a few times. Once you can see that the stain is out, pour baking soda on it and let it sit overnight then sweep it up.. good luck, hope it works.
