I hope that Peter Forsberg is healthy and happy and ready to come here to the Anaheim Ducks and help us win a Stanley Cup!
Rumour is that the Ducks would only need to trade one of their top draft players in the minors plus a draft pick. The Ducks have some money to use under the cap.
Wherever he goes, if he's healthy, Forsberg is still one of the premier players with the smarts and know how to win on the right team.

Yes, Philadelphia will ship Forsberg, probably for an unproven young player. No team will overpay for the 2007 edition of Peter Forsberg.

ok, i'll spit into the wind and say no, he's staying put.
why? bc he's a natural leader and a two way player. as philly rebuilds they'll need someone to lead the young guys. besides most of their problems have come through injury and they have been playing very well since forsberg came back. i mean they lost to the devils in ot last week but scored 5 on brodeur and led most of the way. if they made a couple of smart signings, especially on d, in the offseason, they could be back in the postseason next year.

I think his salary will make it tough. He's expensive and battling injuries. Anyone picking him up will be doing it for a 1-year playoff run.
I disagree, however, that it will be a big name that gets dealt for him. The Flyers have so many holes, I could see it being an established forward, a young defenseman prospect, and maybe a pick or 2.

Get Rid of him
he's been injured most of the season therfore he's of no use t the Flyers cuz he can't play injured.
i dont know if the will give up some real big palyer but they dont need someone on the team who cant play
trade him to one of the teams that want him and get someone who will play maybe some young unproven talent player

I think Philadelphia owes it to him to let him have a shot at another cup. it will probably be a rental thing like the Penguins did with Mark Recchi last yr. (Traded him to Carolina with understanding he would re-sign with Pitt after the season)

I think so. I believe that they need to rebuild. Besides he always seems to find ways of getting injured in Philly and the team plays without him quite a lot. I don't see a point in keeping him.

Colorado would love to have him back. This new salary cap crap is bull. All they've done is kill the sport I loved.

Sadly, I think you are right. He will be traded, hopefully for established young talent, and not prospects.
