1) Make sure you have the power cord attached. It might be shutting down due to lack of power due to a weak battery.
2) There was a virus associated with "I love you" emails sent about 4 years ago. It did the same thing. I hope you have antivirus on your machine.

Do you see a blue screen just before it shuts down? is the battery charged?

hi there, the shutting down is definately a virus/worm problem, please download an antivirus then perform a full web update and then run a full system scan to rectify the problem. i would reccomend bit defender from www.soft32.com/download_76095.html good luck pal

are you sure you are not hitting the power key more than once to turn it on? Doing so could cause it to turn off again once it turns on.
