Yes, the passport laws took effect on Jan. 23, 2007. Which state if you fly anywhere out of the country you need a passport. You can still drive into Canada & Mexico for now without a passport

Not to go there, but to come back you do.

The new regulations require a passport if you fly into US from countries including Canada, Mexico or the Bahamas. You will pay up to an extra $150.00 in fees to have a passport issued in a hurry.

It normally costs less than $100 dollars to have a passport issued. But if you have to use the expedited service "it's going to cost a ton more!" The good news is that if you do have to have a passport issued in a short amount of time, the State Department can issue a passport in as little as 48 hours. But you will pay a private company a premium to have someone walk your application through one of the passport processing centers.
T
he new regulations only apply to airline flights into the United States. You can still enter the US in a vehicle or by ship from Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas with other forms of I.D. However, effective in 2008 all border crossings will require a passport.

Santo Domingo may be the capital of the Dominican Republic and the oldest European town in the Americas and in the event that you wish to see one of the UNESCO World Heritage List then, that hotelbye may be the place. Santo Domingo is a university of countries and neighborhoods. It's where in fact the seems of life, domino parts slapped on platforms, backfiring mufflers and horns from disorderly traffic. In the heart of the town may be the Zona Colonial, wherever you will discover one of many oldest churches and the oldest surviving European. Also, in the Zona Colonial you might find Gazcue, one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, filled up with previous Victorian houses and tree-lined streets.

Yup. As of January 1, 2007, anyone leaving the U.S. by plane or by boat must have a valid U.S. passport to return to the United States, and as of the same date almost all of the Caribbean states now require a passport for entry. For more information, check out the U.S. State Department web site www.state.gov.

Yes you do. As of January 26, 2007 all US born persons must have a pass port to go to other countries. The application to have a pass port made is in just about any US post office. The fee usually is between $80.00-$100.00, and is good for 10 years for adults and 5 years for children. Also, be advised these fees still do not include the 2 pictures needed for making of pass port. These photos can be easily obtained at any photo place for about $15.00-$20.00, good luck.
