Well, I can see by the spelling that you are trying to go for something unconventional. Allie is becoming conventional. Jade is great though ( I almost gave my daughter that middle name). What I did and enjoy very much is taking an older name and adding a spelling or other small twist. Try it, you may like it!

While I think it's very pretty, and I really do like it, I'm just concerned because Allie has become very overused. There are 4 Allie's in my son's class alone, (Allison's and Alexandra's) not to mention others in the school and neighborhood as well. Good Luck and Congratulations!

Allie would be fine if it was short for something else. Like Allison, Alicia, etc.

'Allie' isn't going to be great for an adult doing something serious. Go with 'Allison,' and call her 'Allie' when young, if you like.
Jade?
