Ok so i have a phone with cingular wireless and if you are familiar with them they come with chips inside of them. So my question is can i use that chip from my cingular phone and put in in the sidekick?? i heard that you could but i wanted to kno if any one has done it.

i have taken my friends sim card out of his cingular phone(razr) and i put it in my sk3.. and nothing worked other than he could call his own voicemail.. and thats it.. now if u get one unlocked.. (mine isnt) you can use text and call ppl.. but thats it cause cingulars network wont support the internet and wont support the Instant messengers..

No you cant. Cingular and T-Mobile or different. Some people can mess with all the insides of the chip but you still wont be able to IM or go online, and thats the point of the sidekick. So i recomende getting a pre-paid one, or a contract.
