i need 8250.00 to save my home. i have children and in desperted need. i just started back working but in my layoff i fell behind. i am in great need now.

Unless you have an idea how you would pay back 20,000 dont do it. If you do this is what will happen.
A) Your hosue will be taken anyway, its inevitable.
b) Moose and Rocco are going to break your legs when you dont pay up.

Bad people like to prey on your exact situation. Be very careful. Try to find a friend or family member to help you. These would be your best options. The loan shark will want some ridiculous interest and if your a day late on your payment bye bye house. And possible as the person above says, legs. That is a little for fetched but could happen. I am speaking of the places that are "legit" businesses who say they will help you out. All they do is pay what needs to be paid, but if your 1 day late its over and your out. Again be careful

May I suggest some financial counseling instead?
I would check with your local government to see if they have this service available at no cost.

Talk to your lender. Show them that you are now able to make the payments again. They don't want to own a house. What they may do is to add the $8,250 to the "back" of the loan. Don't give up, but show good proof that the situation resulting in being behind in payments is finished. Get a second job too, to show them you're serious about keeping the house.
