Did a restore week ago but need to do it again and won't says it can't restore to that point. When I sign off my screen turns all gray and empty and I can not do any thing to close it except manually shut it off..why?

System Restore can get corrupted and it can also store traces of virus files in it. If you have no earlier dates you can try, clean System Restore out, Defrag your disk, and then do virus and spy ware scans. Once you have done all of this, if your computer works, you can then turn System Restore back on and it will create a new restore point at that time.

Because it doesn't create one daily.
