I used system recovery to reboot my computer but i did it with out backup because i wanted everything erasedbut when i went thorugh the process it worked until the end when it froze..i left it there for 6 hours and nothing chnaged i tried this numerous times...now when i turn it on the windows starts then freezes on a black screen..does anyone know i go about fixing this problem?

You shouldn't call it "rebooting" because rebooting is just restarting the computer. Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them what could be happening. Have you added any new hardware since you got the computer? If so, remove it before attempting the recovery.

Power down the computer by holding in the power button. The power it back up and repeatedly press F8 during the start up process until you get a window with start options. Arrow down to select "Use last known good configuration" and press enter. Sometimes this will fix the problem. If not you will probably need to insert your Recovery Disc and boot it off the CD to re-install your OS from scratch.

use the same recovery CD's to perform a System Restore or just reformat the drive completly. By the way, you dont need any type of CD to reboot the machine. Just click start > shut down or press and hold the power button on the front of your computer for 5-10 secs
