1. They flipped coin to see who go first.
2. A team has to get closer and other team has to prevent them.
3. Everytimes the team get closer, they're most likely gonna get
the touchdown. Unless you're O.J. Simpson who can catch ball
and run alllllll the way and score touchdown without getting tackles.
4. And of course, the guy has to kick ball over the goal, or
the guy can get sneaky and take the ball and run and score another touchdown.

People who don't understand football, or any other sport, typically don' understand 'cause they don't care enough about it to learn it. Hello! Why don't YOU understand that?

I happen to be a fan. Most of the sports I follow, I learned by watching...a lot. BTW, your explanation of football is a LITTLE simplistic. It can certainly be more complex than you suggest. The announcers aren't always sure what's going on!

Their are cirtin things men woulding understand that you would without trying them. I didint play football untill grade 10 and even when playing i didint understand to much. I started to play football games, and watch the games themself and you start to understand what ever position has to do, and the scoreing system if you are really that intrested sit down with some friends and watch a game over the tv. A punt happened when it is 4th down, their are 4 downs and you want to get a first each time, to get a first you have to make 10 years and you get 4 plays to do this. If you dont make the third you would norm punt it away so that the ball in farther down the field so the other team needs to make more yards to score.

I'm a woman and understand football. There's a lot more to it than what you stated. More rules, regulations, etc.

I guess I don't understand football because I don't even try. I could care less about any sport. Why would I try to understand something I think is stupid?

Football is so easy to understand. It's just that the penalties are confusing.

Try explaining to your girlfriend the difference between a 3-4 and a 4-3 defense and that's when they pretty much shut down.

They only part I don't understand is why the QB always has to rub the @$$ of the guy who's hiking the ball (whatever he's called).

You forgot to mention legal and illegal formations, "running" and "passing" downs, why you can't touch a receiver 5 yards down the field without getting penalized but can kill him as soon as he touches the ball, why you can kill him anyway if the ball is touched or deflected in the air, why the quaterback can throw the ball away intentionally if he's out of the pocket but not while he's in the pocket, why a defensive player can break an offensive players' ribs but can't touch his helmet, etc.
