Well if you want to be famous it doesn't take much. Just do something outrageous, or be on a reality tv show, or start winning on a game show, or be part of a viral video. If you want to be a celebrity then go where they are at in New York, Nashville, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles and do something like act or sing. Some of the best took years to achieve super stardom, but were already well known in some corners, or just kept on acting, singing, and performing. The internet is a good way to be noticed. Also, be prepared to realize that a lot of celebs are more infamous than famous and that once you become well know you have keep doing stuff to remain in the spotlight. It can become tiring, but if you really want fame then you have to doing something worth the buzz. If you become way too famous then you'll be hounded by the press and you'll have no life. Be that as it may it is easier to become famous or at least well known or at least infamous or at least have fifteen minutes of fame due to cable, internet, magazines, and a constant interest from people for the next big thing. It can be done.
Just look up Darva Conger, William Hung, Omarosa, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, K-Fed, Jimmy Kimmel, and Paris Hilton all and there's more like them are famous but most did nothing or at least very little to become well known. Jimmy Kimmel like Greg Kinnear was at the right place at the right time and landed as a talk show host. Kinnear use his talk show gig to land movies which lead to Oscars.

Irishdol, you ARE a celebrity! In the GorgeousFluffpot household we have your picture on the wall in our lounge with a little shrine just underneath it. We light a candle every evening and there is always a pot of fresh flowers there.
