That's a tough question. It would be easy to say,"no, faithfulness is a noble goal," but if you've been hurt more than once by a partner, I can see why you'd feel that way.
Of course, just because someone else cheats, that does not justify YOU'RE doing it, but I can understand wanting to "throw in the towel" and finding another partner.
What matters is how YOU feel about being faithful.

Being faithful is not overrated. It's what should happen in a relationship. And it should be expected from both parties. I've been cheated on by literally ALL my boyfriends, including my ex husband and father of my 2 kids. Took me 11 years later and I've found someone who believes in faithfulness as much as I do. Dont throw in the towel just yet, there really are decent faithful people out there.

I wouldn't expect anymore from someone then I am willing to give myself. I don't think that I should change my way of thinking because the majorities opinion doesn't go along with mine. Being faithful is what you sign up for when you commit to someone else. There is nothing overrated about it! The only thing wrong with it , is that some people don't know the value of faithfulness. The right person is out there....trust me most people realize that the grass is not greener on the other side.

Being faithful to your partner is an act of respect for this person and their feelings. Most people want a trusting honest relationship without dought or worry of the other person cheating. With out trust in a relationship there isn't much hope of it working out. I don't think you should lower your standards because of cheaters in the past.If you want to find someone that will be true to you then you will have to keep searching.Express your concerns with the people you meet and see how they feel about your views.

If you've been cheated on a number of times, the person will continue doing it. Have a little respect for yourself and throw in the towel on the person, not on yourself.
Now, as to finding the right person, You probably will be searching a long time. Everyone cheats, even you.

It is not overrated. Couples should ALWAYS be faithful. If a spouse cheats once, they will probably do it again. If you have been cheated on, throw the bum out. You are too good for him.

Being faithful is not over rated, but being monogamous is. Many swinging couples are "faithful" to each other in that they do not do anything that the other does not want, but then having sex with a lot of people is what both of them want. But there are rules. You just have to get together with some one who agrees with your rules.

id say keep searching if you believe in true love it will happen if you stop trusting than it will never happen give some people the benefit of the doubt if you start a relationship and you dont trust the person to start with they wont trust you and the relationship will never work start with trust and make then prove to you that you were in the right by trusting them to begin with.

everyone wants or should want to be in a monogamous relationship, never throw in the towel and give up on realizing your dreams, u just need to be a little bit more selective with who your choosing.
