I went to an Interview for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services about two weeks ago that same day they took my finguerprints and they where going to run my background check. I already went for the physical turned it in all they need is for the "Life Scan" (finguerprints and background) to clear but its been about over two weeks now and i was wondering how long does that take?

I work for the County of Los Angeles and it's common for it to take over two weeks. It could take over a month, sometimes 2 months. Reason is LA County is huge and they receive a lot of applications for jobs. The LiveScan is actually pretty quick, they can receive the results within an hour of the LiveScan directly from the Department of Justice. The background is what will take you a while. You see they assign your application to background investigators who may already have 30-40 applicants they are already working on. Just be patient... it's the county, it may take a while, but once your in.... you will have many opportunities available to you.
