It is extremely sad, especially when you know in your heart that so many of these people gave up for the wrong reasons or without making every attempt. I understand that people in abusive relationships need out, that's one thing. But these people who get married and two years later decide it isn't what they thought is would be and want out without trying are not only sad in themselves, but very disappointing as a part of our society. I believe that people should be taught about relationships in school and required to take the classes. How different would our society be if young people had a swinging chance when they entered adulthood.

It's always sad to see a marriage go bad. It makes it hard to believe in love and committment when the divorce rate is so high. Being married is not always easy. It takes hard work and dedication by both parties to work and sometimes even with that, marriages fall apart. I just have to keep believing that it's all worth it in the end. Otherwise I never would have gotten married.

I guess it's said, but when you really think about it, most of us are gonna end up divorced anyway. As cruel as it may seem, I'm not going to get married with a "happily ever after" fairytale in my head. When, and if, I do get married, I'll make sure to get a prenuptual agreement, just in case. Not that I don't believe in love. It's just that I'm a realist, and reality sucks...

I've had my ups and Downs in life, and is is always sad when a marriage or relationship ends. breaks the heart, and hurts ones self worth. but breakup's do happen and we have to just move on with life, and accept it and know it was meant to be or it never would have happened.

It's heartbreaking. I was married for 12 years and I don't know if I will ever be over the sadness of it ending.

It is very sad, but it happens every single day.
Personally, I think sometimes people throw in the towel for such small things now it's just ridiculous, but for some of us, we just keep running into people that do us wrong.

I'd say that 50% of those people should never have gotten married to begin with. People who take their vows seriously don't let love "slip away"- in marriage, love is a way of behaving.

Sure its sad.. but its almost all but inevitable these days.
You can get a divorce easier than you can get a drivers license (but it cost more) No fault divorce hasnt helped.. dont ya think if someone is getting divorced it should be someones fault?

only when children are involved because when the decision of divorce is made they are never taken into consideration of the drastic negative influence this will have on their development. Both physical AND mental.
People have this fantasy image of the perfect marriage. Then when it isn't perfect, they start screaming divorce. And the women are usually unhappy before the men are because their "Knight in shinning armor" isn't as shiny as they thought.
