I can probably save the smaller ones, but I have 2 large australian tree ferns with pothos vines in large pots. They each easily drink a quart or so of water every 1-2 days. I'd just hate to lose them. Any suggestions?

Put them in the bathtub and add 3-4 inches of water. If the pots don't float, keep adding. That should keep them going.

Head to your local nursery or garden supply store. There are watering tubes you can buy to set on top of the soil and you will cut a small slit in the hull and it will time release moisture to your plants and trees.
