I have just got two new 9week old guinea-pigs and one of them will bite.We wouldn't like her to bite because little children love to hold her.It would be quite horrible for the guinea-pig to bite little children who are really young. We would really like your help.

I think that you just need to keep holding her more often. Don't let the kids handle her until you get her really use to you. When she starts trusting you she will be more open to the kids.

Are you sure she is biting or she's just nibbling, if she is biting then she'll draw blood if not then she is just nibbling which is normal for piggies to do. If she is biting then she is obviously scared or stressed out, thats the only time they'll bite with maybe a few exceptions such as they are hurt. Try giving them some chew toys that are made for them. Hope that helped, and give you're piggies hugs and kisses from me hehe wittle baby piggies are so cute ^_^.

Because a guinea pigs teeth are always growing, they need things to chew. That might be why it's biting, or the kids may have yummy smells on their hands. Have the kids wash their hands really good.
