I am not sure what is the best way to get to Florida from Indy. I would think getting on I-75 sooner than later would be best.
Everyone else seems to take I-65 to Nashville then I think I-24 to Chatanooga to get on I-75.
I thought I-65 to Louisville then goto Lexington to get on I-75 sooner.
What say you?

As a person who is from Chattanooga and lives in IN, I can tell you taking I-65 to Nashville, then I-24 to Chattanooga, then get on I-75 is your best bet. That is how we went.

I agree with your plan to take I-65 to I-75 in Lexington.

If you are going to the east coast of Florida, while this may take more time, you can take I-75 to I-40 through the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is beautiful, in the Apps between Tennessee and North Carolina. From there, get on I-26 to I-95. This way will put you on the east coast of Florida. I definitely wouldn't recommend this way if you are looking to get to the west coast, because the amount of extra time it would take would overshadow the scenic part of it.

If you are going to the west coast, then definitely just stay on I-75.

I-75 is the fastest and most direct route especially if your going to Central Florida.

we go from Michigan (north of South Bend) to Ft. Myers.

We take I 65 to CHatanooga (Knoxville, same thing) and then I 75.

Makes the best time.

The best route to take is I-65 south to Mobile, Ala. and turn left. You'll be in Fla. in no time...
