Actually, none of these are correct. The most appropriate answer would be from rural to urban ....suburbs didn't exist in the 1920s....that is a phenomenon associated with the 1950s UNLESS you are speaking of cities that had some sort of mass trasit system like street cars or trains....then a would be correct but only in the sense that it would be the OUTER ring of the inner city core....sorry, don't mean to sound overly complicated, but i HATE m/c answers....

Number 1. Two would be correct if it talked about people moving from the south to the north, and the other two are nonsense.
