My friend and I were worried about another friend whose behaviour had changed quite a bit ... I was roomates with her at the time, we felt that since her boyfriend had come into the picture her health was deteriorating and she wasn't quite the same happy- bubbly person we knew.. we weren't sure if it was the boyfriend or her parents issues, but we decided to have an intervention and tell her (gently) what we felt and how we had seen her change... she was very surprised and seemed ok... but our friendship has never been as close, and it sucks coz I miss her.. she ended up moving in with the guy and is still with him... but we still don't think that its the healthiest relationship for her... we were looking out for her best interests, but sometimes that doesn't seem to count for much!!!!!!!!!

Well, I lost a friend because another friend cared and was worried about her, the other friend did some things that were not exactly right, but she was only trying to be helpful, but I got the blame just because I was friends with this other friend. And I didnt even do anything wrong, I was just an innocent bystander!

Yes i have and it sucked and all i could do is blame myself and felt like the worst friend ever but if you were caring and worried for the right reasons they have to come around and you cant force them. Sometimes they have to learn the hard way. But then she will realize what a good friend you were.

I did, because I did not agree with the decisions that my friend was making. I knew it was ruining her life. I was very concerned for her. She refused to talk to me for a few months. It hurt, because I was only looking out for her best interest. I can say that after she wised up....we mended our friendship. All was forgiven. Sometimes when you disapprove the best thing to do is voice your concern and then back off and wait. You can't make a person change but you can point out from an objective viewpoint the concerns you have.

i almost did. me and my friend were concerned about this one girl we are really good friends with so we went to the school counselor and we tried to talk to her but she just got upset because she said she didn't need help. i feel bad for her though because it just shows she cant face what problems she has and take care of them.

Yep. I had someone who had me very concerned that he was suicidal. When I finally confronted him on it he said "I just wanted to see if you cared."

I didn't speak to him for two years.
