Why the heck am I asking senseless questions when I should be working? What am I doing on Y! Answers anyway? Shouldn't I be checking out some old dumb case law? Lord Denning's opinion on life, the world and the right way to cook fish?

Why do I even bother asking this?

I know, I could hardly be bothered to answer you but I thought might as well.

You ask because you want to and you'd rather not work because you find what your doing better. Probably what most of the other people are doing on here, really don't know, if you should i guess you would, and as for Lord Denning, you'd rather gather your own opinion on life rather than take his point of view, and as for the fish, you would if you didn't, know what I mean!

That's a two-way question. Why am I bothering to answer it? So then why are you bothering to read this answer?
Yes, you SHOULD be working and have your nose deep in some boring crusty old law book but isn't this more fun. AND it is in your employer's time AND using his PC AND using his light, heat, coffee, etc. So you are actually doing two things at once (1) being present and correct at work and (2) having fun. So being on Yahoo Answers is a time-efficient exercise for us all!

Because this is an addicting site. My husband commented last night that I live on Yahoo. It's hard not to read the answers and ask the questions AND it's an ego boost when your answer is chosen as best. Simply this is more fun than work.

Oh dear. You've got it too! This site is taking over our lives. When I'm doing my course work or checking emails I can't help it. It's like a little man on your shoulder whispering."Just have a quick look. Score one point, then get on" but no! Hours later and you're lost in the virtual realm that is Yahoo! We'll have to coin a new phrase to describe us all. Can anyone think of one? There I go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think you could ask your senseless(it is your word) questions and answer someone else's ones so freely but for it.I personally find it very difficult to talk to people face to face, but the thing I console myself with is that I am improving my writing skills in your language by using Y! answers.
Take care.

I always find that Denning speaks a lot of sense on a lot of subjects.

When I was studying law, I had a lecturer who thought Denning was god. I therefore used to throw imaginary Denning quotes into my answers

He never sussed!

Cause you love us;-)

We give you the feel good factor.

You can't resist seeing what we are up to without you.

When you are working on your case law, we party all the time,

We can only wait so long you know, next time maybe!

Yes, this place is addicting. It sucks too. I'm like 80 points from level 4 and I can guarantee that I won't get off of here until I get them.
