I am going to buy a PS3, and have my name on a few UK companies lists.
HMV just emailed me to say that as long as I buy a 4GB PSP, they will put me in the top 5000 of their priority list - at a cost of nearly £700 for the PSP, PS3, 2 game bundle.
Since I have a PSP already, they are essentially saying - tough mate you are at least 5000 down the queue before you even start.
Well, I won't be on their list at all now, I will blow them out as far as buying is concerned.

aye i got this email too. i think its insane that the ps3 is going to cost £500 anyway, when the xbox 360 was about £200 and the nintendo wii is £180. It's just insane.

If we all boycotted shops who do this they'd stop.
Problem is that there's always someone stupid enough to take up these offers.
