I will be staying in San Poalo for 2 days, in which area should I book the hotel? Thanks in advance.

If money is not an issue, book a hotel in the Jardins area. The closest to Avenida Paulista as possible. Avoid Rua Augusta, unless you want to stay in the Red Light District. Good high end options would be Hotel Maksoud Plaza and Hotel Intercontinental.
If your on a budget, I'd suggest Hotel Eldorado, but that's in an area called "Centro Velho" or Old Downtown. It's a short cab drive to most places.
Kinda off the beaten path, but in a safe and trendy neighborhood would be "Hotel Merak", in Moema.

If you r paying in US dollars u can stay there for about 100 a night. Is very nice. 4 stars and the area is great.

Avoid Down Town. Jardins is the best area.

Get the best you can afford and dont go for cheap. In Sao Paulo cheap means a more dangerous and tacky part of the city. Go for well known hotel chains and you will be alright.

Well Steffo, we have lots of hotels with all kind of stars.
In Avenida Paulista, a street very famous here, and all around, you don´t need do worry. I live here, near the butantan quarter and morumbi. These places are so beautiful, but expensive.
