To be precise let the sides of the triangle be
AC = 5 x 5^½ , AB =10 and BC = 5
sin A = 5 / (5 x 5^½) = 1/ 5^½ = 5^½ / 5

You have to specify the angle A.

To get the sine of an angle you take opposite/hypotenuse.
