Back when they first instituted the Smackdown! Tag Team Championship they held a tournament to see who would be crowned the new Smackdown! Tag Champs. The tournament consisted of Rey Mysterio and Edge, Los Guererros, Angle and Benoit, and some other teams not worth mentioning. This tournament (in particular the matches involving the above six wrestlers) produced some of the most fast paced, high intensity pro wrestling matches ever seen on TV. They were deemed the "Smackdown Six" due to their ability to put on some very classic matches. The matches even continued outside the tournament. I believe the matches involving the first installation of the Smackdown Tag Titles were probably the best i have ever seen.
