Tell her she's beautiful the way she is and leave it at that. No need to start the self-esteem complex early.

Yes, tell your daughter that she does not have to change the way she looks just to fit in. Tell that she looks beautiful with her color hair and that she does not have to change a thing, I really do not think that you should even be considering this. If you do it then you will basically be teaching her that is it ok to change her appearances to look like someone else.

Nah. If you can put a hole in your kids head whenever you want (ear piercings which I had done at 3 years old) then I don't see why you can't highlight their hair. I first had mine done when I was in 5th grade and loved it. Just don't do it too often or her hair could become stringy and straw like.

Yes, it's too young. You don't want to teach her she needs to look like everyone else in order to feel good about herself, do you? Honey, she's 7, she doesn't know what she wants.

I would say it is way too young. You should play up her beauty, make a big deal out of how unique her color is and how pretty her hair natural hair color is.

Yes definately. Tell her she is beautiful as she is. Don't let her believe that making herself look like someone else is going to make her prittier or a better person.

in my opinion, you need to know who you are before you can make a concious effort to change it. anything else is like peeing in bed. you solve one issue, then you have a whole new issue.

also, there is a lot to be said about instilling at a young age the desire to be something she is not.

i don't know... she's your daughter, so ultimately the decision is yours. you know her better than she knows herself and you are charged with her well being. if her well being means boosting her self esteem by allowing her to be like mommy, so be it. if her well being means forcing her to accept the qualities God gave her and thus forcing her to realize she doesn't have to be like everybody else to be herself, then so be that...

good luck

physically its ok..you can do it while pregnant, your body does not absorb the chemicals and anyway they dont touch the scalp. But mentally no way..your already making her insecure about her looks and like she isnt as good as you and other baby. Stop that **** right away!

Definitely too young! Don't subject your young child to chemicals unless she has head lice.
