If it is torn cartilage or worn away, then you may need to consider a surgical option for a "cure".

Otherwise, Acupuncture will absolutely help with inflammation, bruising, and pain.

If it's torn cartilage or worn away, walking would not help.

Think about it like this: if you tore your bicep muscle, or broke your humerus bone would you help it by doing push-ups?

I have osteoarthritis in my knees and I walk as much as I possibly can to keep myself limber in that aspect but to cut down on the grinding and popping that I hear in my knees when I'm moving, I take glucosamine chondroitin. I have also heard of taking shark cartilage capsules to help with this.

I'm not sure what your asking. Are you having pain in your knee? Are you trying to avoid surgery? Is walking going to help releive the pain? Maybe you should see a physical therapist first.
