I've never had that happen with my fruit because I always cut it in wedges or slice it. But last summer I picked a bunch of broccoli from my garden and when I went to cook some of it I saw a big worm in the pan. That kind of grossed me out and now I check carefully!

I found a live worm crawling from a piece of fish that I bought. I found a dead worm on the bottom of my Doritos bag, and I had a couple of worms in my cereal......yuk, I also had a cricket jump on to my plate, a spider fall from the ceiling into my spaghetti and I accidentally ate a bagel that had green mold on it..yuk !!!! Not all in the same year thank goodness...

Only once but it was rather traumatizing. It was a green apple I had picked off of my grandmother's apple tree and I bit into it and discovered just half the worm. I couldn't eat an apple for ages after that.

I once found an apple when i was eating a worm. Now i know what happened to the apple i left out to eat.

Yeah I bit into a cherry and felt something in my mouth and it was a maggot, bleuch - can't even look at a cherry now

yes, as a kid we raided some of the big commercial growers and even on mom & dads apple tree, they always told us those kind of worms couldn't hurt us but who knows...;)
