2L + 2W = 900

(L)(W) = 50000

Write L as 50000/W

2(50000)/W + 2W = 900

Multiply both sides by (W/2):
50000 + W^2 = 450W

W^2 - 450W + 50000 = 0

(W - 200)(W - 250) = 0

Length and width are 250 and 200 feet

p=900 L=length and W =width
2(L+W)=900 (eq 1)
L*W=50000 (eq 2)
eq 1 => 2L=900-2W => L=450 -W thus (450-W)W=50000
450W-W^2=50000
W^2-450W+50000=0

By solving this equation we have
W=(450+sqrt(2500))/2=500/2=250
L=450-250=200

900 = 2L + 2B and LB = 50,000, L = 50,000/B
900 = 100,000/B + 2B
900B = 100,000 + 2B²
2B² - 900B + 100,000 = 0
B² - 450B + 50,000 = 0
(B - 200)(B - 250) = 0
B = 200 or B = 250
Sides of rectangle are 200 ft and 250 ft

2(l+w)=900
l+w=450
l=450-w
lw=50000
(450-w)*w=50000
w^2-450w+50000=0
