100% i don't use the word lightly. I can mean it as a friend, as a family bond type of relationship or a bf situation. But when I do say i make sure to mean it.

yes, and i only feel comfortable saying it if i mean it. my bf wants me to respond with an "i love you, back" every time he says it. but i don't like saying unless I'm feeling it at that moment. it's like ,just because I'm not verbalizing it, doesn't mean it's not there, you know?

EVERY TIME! Saying "I LOVE YOU" is not something that anybody should just say to be saying it; to make someone feel good; or to get what you want!
