convinced, you may play an electric powered guitar with out an amplifier, and in case you pay interest very heavily you ought to also be ready to hear it. The amplifier possibilities up the signal from the magnetic pickups on the guitar and amplifies it (makes it louder - for this reason the call amplifier). with out the amplifier, that is user-friendly to play and pay interest to the strings vibrating extremely, yet with out the hollow body of an acoustic guitar to expand the sound clearly, a sturdy body electric powered guitar will be very faint sounding with out the amp. A semi-hollowbody electric powered guitar will be slightly louder with out an amp, yet nonetheless not that tremendous. you may play with out an amp to commence once you're purely attending to understand, yet you're going to decide on an amplifier exceptionally quickly. I many times practice with out my amp regardless of the reality that because my spouse and youngsters are asleep. not something incorrect with that. It does rigidity you to concentration on quite playing the guitar extremely distorting each thing right into a mush of noise.

Yes, but you won't get much volume out of it.
Some guitarists, when recording, will sit in another room (away from the amp) and have a mic close to the strings.
This offers them a chance to blend both the amp sound and a close-up string sound in the final mix.

You can plug it into the microphone (or other input) jack on a stereo. You'll usually need a large-to-small size adapter for the cable, but you can find those in the electronics section of just about any store.

Hell no. geez. Not unless the colisseum crowd has super hearing. Come on dude. Use your common sense. If you don't want an electric guitar sound then get an acoustic.

when you're playing w/out an amp, put your ear right against the wood of the body of the guitar. you will get a nice, clear, warm sound.
