Ok, I started using natural progesterone cream a month ago to start supplementing my low hormonal levels (had 2 m/c in 2006 from that). Okay, and I also heard that baby aspirin for blood clotting is important too. One girl that works with me is doing both (had same condition) and is 16 weeks pregg. She had 1 m/c at 11 wks and another at 8wks. Anybody knows someone who did the cream and the baby aspirin????? Thanx.

I know that I contribute my healthy baby girl to the progesterone cream. I had a m/c in 9/2005 and was devasted, I used the natural prog. cream 3 times a day for several months.. I had problems with my levels during my first pregancy (my first daughter is 9) and took supplements. This last pregancy after using the cream, I did not need any supplements, my levels stayed where they needed too, and my newest daughter is now almost 3 months old. The cream works!

I have not used progesterone cream, but I did have some hormonal issues w/ my luteal phase. For me, b-vitamins taken for the whole cycle helped me to conceive my son.

I have a clotting disorder that can affect pregnancy (anticardiolipin antibodies and antinuclear antibodies). During pregnancy, I must take baby aspirin and heparin.

I'd recommend both charting your fertility signs. That can help dertimine exactly what kind of hormone issues you are having. A low progesterone level is, to my knowledge, characterized by low basal body temperature after ovulation. Ovusoft.com has a lot of info on using natural progesterone cream and other fertility issues (as well as charting info). Fertilityfriend.com can help you w/ charting too. The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility and Garden of Fertility can aslo get you started charting and offer a lot of info on fertility issues.

Baby aspirin may or may not help in your case. You might want to ask your doctor to test your for anticardiolipin antibodies (also know as antiphospholipid antibodies). These antibodies can be respondisble for repeat pregnancy loss. Many docs don't even think of doing this test and some insist the woman wait until after 3 consecutive m/c. I can't imagine going though that and would personally rather self-pay than wait.

Good luck.

I conceived my son through in vitro fertilization. Baby asprin and progesterone (I took progesterone shots) were part of the medications that I had to take. I'm not sure if they help with conception if you aren't doing IVF though.
