I have 3 weeks left in my pregnancy, and I am looking forward to getting back into shape. This is my first pregnancy, and I was wondering if my body will ever be what it used to be? that includes my feet and nose since they seem to have grown during the pregnancy as well! How about my hips and breasts(I plan on breastfeeding, will I be more saggy when I finish?) Also, my underarms and groin have gotten darker than the rest of my skin with the pregnancy, will they go back to their natural color?

WAY TO GO ON BREASTFEEDING!!!

I have had 5 pregnancys. My nose has went back to normal every time. My feet are 1/2 a size bigger now than when I graduated high school.

I gained to much weight after the 4th and 5th pregnancy, but I was the same weight a year after having the 2nd baby that I was when I graduated High School (125 lbs) Remember it took you 9 months to gain all the weight, it may take you 9 months to lose all the weight, but breastfeeding is a good start.

Your breasts may not be as perky as before, but this is not caused by breastfeeding as much as it is caused by the pregnancy. Your hips.......... Excercising may be the key here.

The pigment under your arms and groin should go back to normal in a few months after childbirth also.

Just give yourself some time. You have had some pretty amazing changes going on the past few months. Trust me, babies are worth it!

Pregnancy effects so much that sometimes it doesn't even seem like you anymore. Alot of it will get straightened out (your feet, your nose, and the darker skin color) but some changes to your body may be permanent. Every woman is different and pregnancy will effect each one differently. I have had two pregancies, my second was w/twins, so of course my body never did go back to the way I was before and sometimes I have those days when I hate everything about my body but when I look at my boys or imagine my life without them then I can live with all of my imperfections, it was a small price to pay....and the best part is that baby is going to love you no matter what your body looks like. Congratulations and goodluck.

Pregnancy changes the body in many ways.

I don't know about the nose, but I do know my feet have stayed a little larger since my first pregnancy (unless the shoe sizes have changed LOL). They are not as large as they get in late pregnancy (all that is due to the hormones which relax the ligaments in anticipation of birth), but they are a little bit (maybe a size or so) large than before I had children.

Breasts: It is pregnancy itself, NOT breastfeeding that causes changes in your breasts. Even if you never breastfed, your breasts would be a little less firm than prepregnancy. That hormonal action again. A supportive bra should help keep them in the best shape possible, especially if you are large breasted or produce a lot of milk.

Skin changes: Those tend to fade w/ time after pregnancy too. Make sure to keep the dark areas out of the sun as much as possible (or use sunscreen). I've found that good lightening serums really help (at least for my spots which were on the face).

Hips: In my experience, the hips do sit the tiniest bit larger after childbirth, but that is nature's way of giving you a comfortable place to hold your babe.

The mother's body is different than the body of the girl who has never had children. While our culture seems to worship the latter bodytype, the mother's body is beautiful in her own way. When we have had children, we can know the pure miracle and joy of having carried life inside us. To me, it is one of the most feminine and beautiful things about being a woman. To know my body carried and nutured each of my children. To know that my breasts calmed and nurtured each of my children, producing EXACTLY what they needed when they needed it (which no formula on earth can do).

Once I realized the beauty of being a mother, I realized I LOVE my motherly body more than I loved my prechild body. I had many self-esteem issues then. Now, I know how strong and capable my body is and it seems so much more beautiful now.

I don't know about your skin discoloration or your nose, but everything else will probably change.

My feet grew half a size and never returned to normal. Boobs definitely sag- I think this is true for people who breastfeed and those who don't (heck, that's probably true for all women thanks to gravity). Your hips may go back partway, but say goodbye to the junior's section. Those pants are way to narrow!

The good news is that you can get back to a normal weight with some work. It took me 7 months the first time and 9 the second. Lots of working out and not so much sugar!

The things we do for our kids! And it starts so early.

But when you look in your baby's eyes, it will be worth all this and more! Plus, you will probably be pretty amazed that you were able to grow a human life inside you and deliver it into the world. It is a true miracle.

Enjoy that little love!

I gave birth 10 weeks ago and was back in my pre-pregnancy jeans two days later. However the tummy discolouration remains, I think it takes about six months for it to fade. Your breasts may well end up a little looser than before you were pregnant, this happens regardless of whether or not you breastfeed, as your breasts will get engorged regardless on the fourth or fifth day after birth, and this is when the skin stretches. Try not to worry, body changes aren't necessarily for the worse. Good luck with your last three weeks and birth - avoid a caesarean at all costs that's what causes the longest lasting marks!!

I have had three kids and my body has never gone back to what it was before. Not that I couldn't lose the weight...it's just that even taking the weight off my body has a different shape than t did before. My feet grew a size while I was pregnant too...and unfortunately I still have to wear that bigger size. But, trust me your baby will be worth any little imperfection you might see in your body. Chances are you will come out of this with a more womanly shape.

Most things will go back to normal if you work at it. Color for sure will, and face sizes, nose and such, yes they will go back it is just retaining water, thats what happens. The rest of your body depends on how much work you are willing to do. Breastfeeding boobs are never the same, but they are still fine, I nursed all 3 of my kids and yes they are not as perky as they use to be, but they are still nice, did stay big too!!! Good luck, just enjoy your baby don't worry about your body, you are still going to be beautiful!

Your nose will revert back

Your feet and hips will partially, but not fully revert back.

Your breasts will never be as they were pre-pregnancy.

The skin color issue is common with pregnancy. While the color will not completely revert back to normal, it will be less pronounced a few days/weeks after the birth.

this is normal, and if u have a normal vaginal delivery u can start a little bit of work out by 4th month, and ur body will return to its shape in an year or so ,as u are planning to breast feed this also helps in getting the body into a normal size.

After four kids my body has returned to normal - my boobs are still small, and my weight returned to pre-pregnancy right away. Now I only have extra skin on my tummy that will never shrink back (all four were over 9lbs). But my boys are so worth it!
