There would be no more apes!- of course, right?
They would have ALL evolved into man.
They didn't change one bit! They are them, still today, and we are us!
**MY BELOVED ANCESTORS ARE NOT MONKEYS!**
Get a clue! You are a divine creation of God

Good points! Survival of the fittest means the weak die off. Like you said, if apes evolved into humans, the apes should have died off.

THANK YOU MARK!!!!!!

You just took one link from the chain of evolution and used bad logic to make your point. Couldn't the apes of today be an evolution of whatever is down the evolutionary chain from it?

That being said....Didn't God's creation follow an evolution....God created the birds of the air, the fish of the sea and every animal on earth but still was not happy until he created man. How do you know that this is not evolution?

I am a Christian and I don't have all the answers just as Darwin didn't. We won't know until we are with the Lord and know all that he knows.

By the way...It is not very Christ-like to call people ding dongs. If you want respectible answers, you should pose your question in a respectible manner.

Mmmm.....I don't know why I even bother, I am not going to win any popularity, or get voted best abswer for this. I'm not sure exactly why evangelical creationists get my hackles up.

To counter you assertion, I would ask: have you ever actually read any of Darwin's writing, or any good books on evolution? Do you know how and why the theory of evolution actually works? Or are you merely having a knee-jerk, sentimental reaction to the fact that evolution suggest that the great apes are our distant cousins and ancestors? Or are you just repeating what others have told you instead of actually researching the question for yourself?

Might I also ask what is so terrible about apes, that they cannot possibly be related to humans? After all, by any reasonable measure, humans are far more violent, aggresive, degenerated, dirty and destructive than apes are. What evidence do you have that suggests that humans and apes are not descended from the same ancestor? It had better be good evidence because the evidence in favor of evolution is actually pretty good too.

I don't really understand why some people find evolution some kind of mortal threat to faith and the existence of God in general. After all, God does not need us to tell him how to run the world, (though this argument works both ways.) Shouldn't we be out actually trying to observe and figure out how God's world works, like Darwin did, rather than putting all our stock in somone who hands around a collection plate during his sermon.

But to answer your arguments more specifically:

Firsty; of course the theory of evolution is not perfect, since it is presumptuous to assume that any single theory can explain *every* possibility. But it does hold very well against actual observation of nature, something that cannot be said of pure creationism. For example, why would god create "parasites"? What possible purpose could he have for creating a creature that depends entirely upon the injury and suffering of it's host for food and survival? You don't have to answer that question of course..

Secondly, Darwin did consider himself a Christian and a man of faith. As I said before, I don't see how it is unreasonable to state that natural phenomenon have natural causes rather than supernatural ones, and I don't see how this exculdes the possibility of faith, or the existence of God. You can just as easily assume that natural laws are as much a result of His will as spiritual laws.

Thirdly the fact that ALL living things have DNA is really very compelling evidence that they are all descended from the same ancestor, not the other way around. If you do statistical studies of the DNA of humans, and that of chimpanzees or gorillas, you will find that our DNA is almost 98% identical.

Lastly, the "man-ape" argument, or the argument that *all* apes must have evolved into humans is not correct. The possibility that a large number of species can evolve from a single one is one of the primary aspects of evolution. Darwin himself wondered about this, after collecting literally tens of thousands of varieties of beetles in South America. Also, I have personally heard the argument that since no intermediates or hybrids between men and apes exist today, men cannot have descended from apes. But what, specifically, is a "man-ape"? What would it look like? Perhaps these "man-apes" looked something like the fossils found in southern Africa by Mary Leakey, and many other archeologists since then.

Now, of course you don't have to take my word that all this is true. You are perfectly welcome to go out and listen, read, and observe, and make your own opinions. But be carefull, just because the the truth(whatever it is) is inconvinient, difficult to understand, or hard to believe, is no gaurantee that it is not true. Truth does not need my or your opinion in order to exist, otherwise it is not the truth!

I don't know how much of a "man of faith" Darwin was, since he claimed that he was agnostic.
There are many different species of apes. So one species could have evolved into us and there would still be other species of apes today.
Apes have evolved. The apes we have today are not what they used to be.
None of this proves, one way or another, that there isn't a God.

I don`t see why some apes couldn`t ADAPT into humans and vice-versa. I could name a lot of humans who are degenerating pretty damned fast right now. The key to that is probably whether or not they let someone else do their thinking for them.

" Judge not, ding-dong, and you will not be judged." Thanks for the 2 points & hopefully you will evolve mentally. You obviously use the KJV version of the bible, your pretensious use of the pronoun "ye" gave you away. Too many errors in that version, try another.
In my Bible, there are 2 versions of the creation, which one is correct. In the 2nd God fashions man from the dust of the earth. Not totally unlike our friend Darwin who implies we evolved from the slime of the earth. Please enlighten me all knowledgeable one. I, a dumb ding dong beg for your help.
And don't forget the part about " He (or she) who exaults himself shall be humbled!!!!!!!!!!!"

Good points! Survival of the fittest means the weak die off. Like you said, if apes evolved into humans, the apes should have died off. I also find it amazing that some believe all life came from a bunch of muck given lots of time. Scientists, with all the knowledge we have, cannot take muck and produce life. People, I believe, want to claim belief in something that allows them to continue living the lives they choose. It's easy to live a life of decadence and immorality if there is no consequence. It's hard to believe in, and have faith in God if one wants to live that life of immorality. Moral relativism is just another thing that is continuing to degrade the world we live in today. Sorry, not trying to hijack your thread, but I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one thinking what you said.
