My girlfriend got a job in office where the dress code is business casual with no jeans. She said that panty lines are unprofessional but likes to wear some underwear so is choosing to wear a g-string. The other day I saw her sitting down before she left and all I saw was an exposed colorful g-string. I don’t think she should wear them to work but have not said anything and would like to hear what others think.

What do you think is unprofessional and why?

A) Pantylines
B) Exposed provocative underwear

B) Exposed provocative underwear

No one wants to see that. I work in an office and that would be totally unacceptable.

Number one, there are plenty of other types of panties out there that don't cause panty lines, so a colorful g-string is not her only option. She could go to Wal-mart or Victoria's Secret and get herself some boyshorts or a girdle or some control-top panty-hose that won't show panty lines. Really, any way she does go will be uncomfortable, but that's the way it is. If she's so concerned, maybe she should change the style of clothes she wears, like chooseing polyester/cotton blends over arcrylic. Try different patterns that can disguise the lines. Maybe even curderoy could work.

As for your unprofessionality, it is not necessary to wear g-strings to look like a business-woman. However, she is highly unprofessional when her g-string is exposed. No one wants to see that. If she doesn't want to change her panty sttle, she could always trade lo-rise for high-rise. That looks professional, and it will give her more curves.

You can be professional and not wear thongs to cover your pantylines. It would be more professional to get a pair of pants that don't ride so low as to actually allow the underwear to show. Is the shirt short? That could be another no-go. There are plenty of clothes out there that you can wear that won't expose you're underwear and there is also underwear out there you can get that won't show panty lines. Another wonder of mine- is what kind of underwear is she wearing that shows the panty lines, becuase if they cotton, I could understand, but if they're not, then I am asking- are her pants tight? Super tight? Really thin and tight? Maybe she should look into higher quality clothing...

Totally unprofessional - she should buy the low-rise thongs or go w/pantyhose underneath. There's is a limit to what people should be exposed to in the workplace - now outside the workplace is a totally different story! Thongs in general are NVP but obviously she doesn't have the technique down....as for as long as you perform your job well, shouldn't matter how you dress is not really true - first impressions are everylasting and if she wants to advance in her career - unfortunately, or forntuately depending how you look at it - being a woman is strike 1 - dressing cheap or provactively no one will take her seriously....

Maybe her pants are too tight if she's worried about pantylines looking unprofessional. Thongs and g-strings are definitely unprofessional if they're visible. Maybe she should wear a jacket, something that would cover her lower back. I don't think anyone in the office would say anything either way though.

Very Unprofessional. He did not even finished his activity all the way so slicing the $50 wasn't your fault. nicely, too undesirable he had a job at 6:30. no count how offended he became into, he don't have broken any of your house.

I think having a skanky string hanging out of the top of your pants is far more unprofessional than panty lines. If nothing else, she should choose low rise thongs so they stay below her waistline.

Her underwear should be her own business, but if shes flashing it she may not be aware of her clothing from the back when shes sitting or bending down, in which case let her know without a lot of judgmental stuff that her panties are showing. Unless her business is stripping, no one wants their panties, or their lines to show because their clothes don't cover them.

both are unprofessional she just needs to make better choices in the clothes she wears to work vs. at home etc. maybe the pants that she is wearing are too low rise or she can try wearing a belt.

Pantylines are unprofessional.... but showing your thong is worse.

She needs to wear a belt or a longer top that will prevent her thong from showing.
