Yesterday and today I've been trying to get on and myspace wont let me log in. Is it that my boss set something up or is it just myspace having technical difficulties?

Sounds like you're busted! It's probably against your workplace policy to be surfing the net while on the clock. I would not even bring it up to your boss, just try to get on from someplace else, but not at work!!

I haven't experienced any problems getting into myspace. However they could be doing maintenance on the server your account or profile is on which might cause some difficulties logging in. On the other hand if your boss has blocked the website I would just accepted if it you value your job. Trying to go around a blocked website at work would be grounds for termination.

It's likely that that site has been blocked from your employer's network by your computer people. I think it's blocked where I work. Any non work-related site can be blocked if found to have too much traffic from inside the network. If you were paying someone to do a job would you want them surfing the Internet instead of doing the job for which YOU are paying them? They probably don't mind you reading news articles though when you have nothing to do.

He probably did have his tech guys set limits on the computers. We do in my office. The law says that the employer owns the computers. He also owns your time from start to quitting, that is if you are collecting a paycheck for those hours.

You are supposed to be working, not noodling on the net.

It could very well be that it has been blocked, I know it is here. It takes up too much bandwidth and is too much of a distraction at work. If you try different ways to access it, you could get fired so be careful.
