My favorite comedian, Mike Birbiglia says, "I'm not REAL italian I'm more like Olive Garden italian." I love this joke because its exactly the way I view the food at Olive Garden. Its "americanized italian food" In my town we have much more authentic italian restaurants, family owned by italians and not chains.

*sigh* at the risk of being blasted for my opinion, I do, in fact, like the Olive Garden. Fine, it's mass produced. Fine, it's not "true" Italian. Still tastes good.

I LOVE the Olive Garden but you never want to go with my ex father in law. He's very loud and rude and emberassed the crap out of me in there!

Yes, I do, but my fiancée hates it! She's from Monaco though, and so is far more intimate with real Italian cuisine...
Still, never-ending pasta bowl rocks my socks off. And the breadsticks.. OH THE BREADSTICKS!
