It sounds like the rash my 6 month old son just had and I took him to the Doctor for it and he said that it was just a topical rash, could be a little heat rash or just irritation from a sleeper. He said it was nothing to worry about and I had just continued putting lotion on him and it went away within a day or two. But I think that if you are sincerely worried I would go to the Doctors or a Clinic it is always better to be safe than sorry. I am a "worry mom"

My son just went through this. He is 10 months old. It is a form of roseola (not the correct spelling). It is a virus that is contagious among children. There isn't a medicine for it because it is a virus, but it goes away between 3 and 16 days. It starts out on the limbs and moves up to the neck and face (sometimes it goes opposite and starts at the face and moves down). It doesn't itch for them or anything. It is just there. Our pediatrician suggested that we not use fabric softener on his clothes while he had the rash just because the chemicals could irritate it more and make the appearance worse. He also said that between December and March are the highest occurances for this virus.

you should take him to his doctor, this may be a sign of something not so good. can it be an alergic reation to some new food he ate, soap you used, material of the clothing he wore, the detergent used to wash his top??? A lot of caring for a child (even for second and third time mothers) is trial and error.
Recall any changes is in movements, diet, etc over the past week.

just a misc. rash from either clothes rubbing, sweat or even detergent... if it keeps coming back try changing detergent... if it is either or both the others? try less clothes, layers and softer onesies next to skin... ?
wouldn't worry overly unless it is accompanied by fever lots of fussiness... but dr always told me? babies get rashes... and even when sick they do not usually mean anything and can not do anyting for them.... ?
sounds like you did what can be done
good luck

Could be roseola, which is highly contagious....Has he had a fever lately? The rash usually comes after the feaver......
I'd take him in anyway, just to be sure.

Call your pediatrician.
Use Dove unscented soap, unscented laundry detergent, unscented downy and relaunder everything.
Sounds like atopic dermatitis to me, my sons each had it.
