I have dropped one of my favorite eyeshadow containers. Of course I can still use it, but it's all flaky and messy. Is there a way to "press" powder back in the container the way it was when I first purchased it?

Just cry. You cannot fix it. Just use what is left.

No there's no good way to press it back without altering the texture or color.

Best thing to do is to put it into a little twist top container (like the ones Sephora use for free samples) and use it like a loose powder.

'You would ruin the shadows consistency if you try to press it and it will not become what it was anyway. There is a cosmetics line that only uses loose eyeshadow powder. Get the shadow brush for eyes that is fuller and softer than others and use the shadow like bare minerals...OR...you could always buy a new one!

Ahh...yeah. I really cry when that happens. I don't think you can have it the way it was when you first bought BUT the good news is that you can still use it! What I do is to leave it at home (no purse anymore) and set it on facing up or in a way that the powder doen't spread all over. Perhaps you may want to buy another one to keep inside your purse. :)
Sorry.

No there is not any stable attributable to press it lower back without changing the texture or shade. stunning element to do is to located it good right into a splash twist outstanding container (like those Sephora use for loose samples) and use it like a loose powder.

You won't be able to press it back together. When this happens I just crush it up as fine as I can and use it that way.

I don't think you can press it back but just take a brush dip it slightly on the end and use it like that. No mess, no stress! =)

Perhaps you can mix it with a small amount of petroleum jelly and make a cream shadow.

I just ran into this problem myself... I brought it to work today too to do my makeup and during the travel from home to work it got worse. I'm going to buy a new one. :(
